Thieves reportedly broke into the 33-year-old's house in the town of Castelldefels, where he lives with his wife and two children, on Monday.
Aubameyang and his wife were said to have been handcuffed and tied up, with the robbers forcing them to open a safe.
The former Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund frontman is reported to have been beaten, but Barca confirmed he and his family are "doing well" following the ordeal.
Jewellery was reportedly stolen during the break-in, which occurred after Aubameyang was an unused substitute in Barca's 4-0 win over Real Valladolid at Camp Nou on Sunday.
Planes, who was recently linked with a switch to Newcastle United, heads out of Barcelona within a fortnight of Xavi arriving as head coach.
He had a contract running through to the end of this season but will depart with immediate effect, having requested to be freed from his deal.
Barcelona said in a statement: "FC Barcelona and Ramon Planes have reached an agreement to terminate the contract that bound both parties until 30 June 2022, at the request of the man who had until now been the club's technical secretary.
"The club wishes to publicly express its gratitude to Ramon Planes for his commitment, professionalism and contributions throughout this last two years, and wishes him the best of luck and every success in the future."
Spanish sports daily Marca last week claimed there had already been contact between Planes and Newcastle, who are newly wealthy after a takeover by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund but are also fighting a Premier League relegation battle.
Newcastle have appointed Eddie Howe as their new head coach but are seeking reinforcements to their staff elsewhere, and recruiting a man who has spent three and a half years at Barcelona would be seen as a coup, despite the LaLiga team having struggled in recent times.
Planes joined from Getafe in 2018 and was initially assistant technical secretary to Eric Abidal before taking on the lead role in August 2020.
His exit continues the process of overhauling Barcelona's football staff since Joan Laporta was elected as president in March.
The team sit ninth in LaLiga after winning just four of their opening 12 games, managing 19 goals so far from an expected goals (xG) tally of 21.03. Expected goals totals are judged by quality of chances.
Since the 2010-11 season, the point from which Opta has such records available, Barcelona have always exceeded their xG across a LaLiga season. Last term, before Lionel Messi's exit, they scored 85 goals from an xG score of 73.96.
Patience in former head coach Ronald Koeman ran out in October, paving the way for club legend Xavi to return to the club from Qatari club Al Sadd.
The departure of Planes will allow Xavi and Laporta to build their own leadership group.
Xavi is set for his first match as head coach when Barcelona host Espanyol in Saturday's derby.
Osasuna lost the last-16 match 9-0 on January 10 but have been declared winners of the tie on a technicality, with Barcelona striker Geyse having played and scored when she should have been serving a suspension.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Osasuna said: "The Royal Spanish Football Federation [RFEF] has favourably resolved the claim made by the Osasuna Women's Foundation in relation to the improper team selection committed by Barcelona Football Club in the round-of-16 match of the Copa de la Reina played on January 10 in El Sadar.
"The disciplinary judge has decided 'to give FC Barcelona the game as lost and to consider the tie resolved in favour of CDF Osasuna Femenino'.
"It is possible to file an appeal to the appeals committee against the resolution published this morning by the federal body."
Barcelona, who beat Real Sociedad 3-0 in the Supercopa on Sunday, appear well on course to claim the Spanish league title for a fourth season in a row after winning 14 consecutive games in the competition since the start of the season.
They were defending the Copa de la Reina they won by beating Sporting Huelva 6-1 in last year's final, and reports have said Barcelona, who have also been fined €1,001 by the RFEF, plan to appeal against their expulsion.
Brazilian player Geyse was sent off in her previous match in the competition, playing for Madrid CFF against Sporting in last season's quarter-finals.
Sevilla have also been expelled from this season's cup after Nagore Calderon played in a 1-0 win against Villarreal, when she too had a suspension hanging over her from last season.
The inaugural Maradona Cup will take place at Mrsool Park in Riyadh on December 14, a little over a year after the former Argentina star died in his homeland at the age of 60 from heart failure a fortnight after undergoing brain surgery.
Maradona played for Boca in 1981-82 before moving to Europe with Barca, where he won the Copa del Rey, the Copa de la Liga and the Supercopa de Espana.
He returned to Boca for the final two years of his career before retiring in 1997.
The match will take place in the week after Barca face Bayern Munich away in their final Champions League group game, with a LaLiga game at Osasuna scheduled for December 11.
Ronald Koeman's side will be due back in Saudi Arabia in January 2022 for the Supercopa de Espana along with Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao.
Barca and Boca have met 10 times previously, most recently in the Joan Gamper exhibition game in 2018, which the Catalans won 3-0.
Rousaud stood down his position as vice president along with five other directors Enrique Tombas, Silvio Elias, Josep Pont, Jordi Calsamiglia and Maria Texidor amid reports of months of internal disputes ahead of presidential elections due to take place next year.
Speaking after his resignation, Rousaud spoke out about the split among the senior management and told RAC1: "I think someone has had their hand in the till, although I don't know who."
Barca issued a swift and strong rebuttal of the claims in a club statement last week and have now announced their intention to begin legal proceedings.
"In the face of grave and unfounded allegations made by Mr Emili Rousaud, the club's former vice president, in a number of media interviews, the board of directors categorically denies any action that could be described as corruption and have agreed to bring the corresponding legal action accordingly," a statement read
"FC Barcelona cannot tolerate allegations that seriously damage the institution's image. The legal action to be taken is in defence of the honour of the club and its employees."
Rousaud also suggested possible impropriety regarding Barca's alleged agreement with 13 Ventures, a PR company claimed by a report on Spanish radio programme Que t'hi jugues in February to have been hired to clean up Bartomeu's image on social media and disparage current and former players critical of his premiership. Both Barcelona and 13 Ventures strongly denied entering into any such agreement.
Barca's statement added: "In this regard, the board wishes to emphasise that in the light of these allegations, PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC), the company in charge of conducting the audit on the monitoring services of social networks contracted by the club, have reiterated that its work is still ongoing and, therefore, is without any provisional or definitive conclusions.
"The board of directors have agreed that, once the audit is completed, it will analyse the content and conclusions derived from it, publish them, and will make their decisions and take appropriate measures based on their final result."
The exits of the six board members came two days after ESPN reported president Josep Maria Bartomeu wanted four board members to step down in a bid to strengthen his position as he seeks re-election.
The planned reshuffle was later referenced by Barca in their response to Rousaud's claims and the result of the reorganisation was confirmed on Monday.
"At the proposal of the president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, the board of directors have approved the appointment of Jordi Moix, as vice president for economic and equity; Pau Vilanova, as institutional vice president; Oriol Tomas, as vice president of the commercial area; Marta Plana, as secretary of the board of directors; and David Bellver, as treasurer," Barca said.
"Javier Bordas will be the manager responsible for the football first team, while Xavier Vilajoana will be in charge of Barca B, the youth teams and women's football."
Neymar, 28, has been linked with a return to Camp Nou, having left for Paris Saint-Germain in a world-record €222million move in 2017.
Moreno, an assistant at Barca while the Brazil international was there, said he knew the LaLiga side wanted Neymar again.
"I would re-sign Neymar for Barcelona," the Monaco coach told El Transistor.
"In the end, Barcelona have to have the best players in the world and Neymar is one of them, a player who makes the difference.
"Furthermore, he makes his team-mates play. I know for sure that they want him."
Moreno took over as Monaco coach in December last year, and his side finished ninth as the Ligue 1 campaign was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Spaniard said he had mixed feelings over the decision to call off the rest of the season.
"On one hand, we didn't like it because we didn't agree on the standings and we've been left out of Europe," Moreno said.
"But it's given some certainty because [the government] has extended the measures until July.
"That allows us to start pre-season in July and start the league at the end of August."
The Catalans have won the Spanish league and cup double for the last three seasons, but it emerged they fielded an ineligible player when beating Osasuna 9-0 at the last-16 stage of this season's cup competition.
Osasuna were overpowered on January 10 but have been declared winners of the tie on a technicality, with Barcelona striker Geyse having played and scored when she should have been serving a suspension.
Brazilian Geyse was sent off in her previous match in the competition, playing for Madrid CFF against eventual finalists Sporting Huelva in last season's quarter-finals.
Barcelona believe there are grounds for the ruling to be successfully challenged, with ESPN reporting the club are adamant Geyse was not listed on pre-match lists of disciplinary disqualifications issued by cup organisers the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
In a statement issued after Tuesday's expulsion, the Camp Nou giants said: "FC Barcelona announces that the club is to continue to fight for the women's team's rights after they were sanctioned by the competition committee for fielding an ineligible line-up, with an appeal to be presented in due course.
"Should the sanction not be revoked on appeal, FC Barcelona will take every possible action, as it is considered that the line-up ended up being deemed ineligible due to technicalities in this case."
Barcelona, who beat Real Sociedad 3-0 in the Supercopa on Sunday, appear well on course to claim the Spanish league title for a fourth season in a row after winning 14 consecutive games in the competition since the start of the season.
Barcelona have also been fined €1,001 by the RFEF over the ineligibility episode, while Sevilla have been thrown out of this season's cup, too, after Nagore Calderon played in a 1-0 win against Villarreal, when she too had a suspension hanging over her from last season.
Sevilla said they presented arguments against such a punishment but will not appeal any further.
Barcelona were held to a 0-0 draw by Sevilla on Friday, giving Real Madrid the chance to join them on 65 points when they visit Real Sociedad.
Madrid would also hold the upper-hand thanks to their head-to-head record against Barcelona after their El Clasico victory in March.
But Ter Stegen believes Barcelona will be crowned league champions if they can win each of their remaining eight games.
"We no longer depend on ourselves and we will be watching what the rivals do, but we are improving," the goalkeeper said, via Sport.
"Defensively we are showing our best face and I am convinced that by winning all the remaining games we will be champions."
Barcelona dropped points for the first time since returning from the coronavirus-enforced break, but they are yet to concede in three games.
However, Ter Stegen felt a draw against third-placed Sevilla was a fair result.
"I think we have played a good match, especially in the first half. We knew we were coming to the field of a very complicated team and we have dominated," he said.
"All in all, I consider that the draw was fair, because Sevilla have also had good chances."
Barcelona are in action again with a clash against Athletic Bilbao on Tuesday.
First-half doubles from Marta Torrejon and Alexia Putellas were added to by Asisat Oshoala and Caroline Graham Hansen to give Barca a 6-0 lead after 45 minutes at El Helmantico in Salamanca.
Oshoala scored her second in the 51st minute and Torrejon completed her hat-trick before Manuela Lareo finally got La Real on the scoreboard in the 63rd minute.
Candela Andujar made it 9-1 before Torrejon rounded off the scoring 12 minutes from time to seal an emphatic triumph.
With newly crowned Supercopa champions Barca sitting nine points clear at the top of the Primera Division, Arconada opted to use his post-match news conference to send a message to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
"Every [Spanish] team feels that they cannot compete with this Barca. The federation has to evaluate if this is what they wanted. The only option was Barca winning and we suffered this humiliation," said Arconada.
"We knew it would be complicated and we did not give our all. We did not live up to who we are.
"It was a hard day, but a lesson. I'm proud to have played the final and convinced it will not be the last one."
Barca boss Lluis Cortes was unimpressed by Arconada's comments and claimed things are not as uneven as he alleged.
"Each club invests in women's football as much as they want to and the percentage in relation to the men's game is very small," said Cortes.
"I wish we could always win 10-1, but I am sure this won't happen in the league. Things went really well today but in the majority of games we really have to fight."
Aged 16 years and 223 days, attacking midfielder Unuvar was introduced for the final 15 minutes in Amsterdam and rounded out a 7-0 rout after he was brought down in the box.
Unuvar's record-setting goal might be of interest to Barcelona, who reportedly monitored the Netherlands youth international during last year's U-17 World Cup.
"I immediately asked Klaas-Jan Huntelaar if I could take the penalty, because he would normally take it," Unuvar told Fox Sports Netherlands after the match.
"It was great that everyone let me [take it] and was happy for me. The keeper went to the wrong corner. It was a really nice moment."
Siem de Jong led the way for Ajax with a perfect hat-trick in the dominant last-16 victory, while Lassina Traore scored twice and Dusan Tadic netted the other.
On Friday, a majority of 37 out of 42 clubs in Spain's top two tiers voted in favour of the investment agreement, which is worth €2.1billion.
The deal involves LaLiga giving up a percentage of revenue generated from TV rights over the next 50 years, with clubs provided a more immediate financial boost.
Barca, Madrid and Athletic have been embroiled in a war of words with LaLiga president Javier Tebas in recent weeks after describing the CVC deal as potentially "ruinous" for Spanish football.
Barca president Joan Laporta previously described the deal as like "mortgaging the club's rights over the next half-century".
In a joint statement issued on Wednesday, the clubs confirmed: "Athletic Club, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid report that they have taken legal action in response to the agreements adopted by the LaLiga Assembly in relation to the so-called Impulse Project that LaLiga intends to undertake with the CVC venture capital fund, as it is an illegal transaction that causes irreparable damage to the Spanish football sector as a whole and flagrantly violates the most elementary principles of Spanish sports law and the LaLiga statutes."
Speaking after the deal had been ratified last Friday, Tebas said: "We are facing a new milestone in the history of LaLiga and the clubs.
"We are proud to have reached this agreement with CVC, a project that will allow us to continue the transformation towards a global digital entertainment company, strengthening the competition and transforming the experience of the fans.
"Despite all the obstacles that we have encountered along the way, we have carried out this project, which will be a before and after for LaLiga clubs, who will be able to improve their infrastructures, develop their brand internationally and take giant steps to continue strengthening sport and football around the world."
Bonmati was crowned the world's best player after helping Spain win the World Cup for the first time in 2023, succeeding team-mate Alexia Putellas, who won the award in 2021 and 2022.
The creative midfielder could follow Putellas in becoming a two-time winner after helping Barcelona win a Liga F and Champions League double in 2023-24 – their third in the last four years.
Bonmati opened the scoring in the Blaugrana's 2-0 Champions League final victory over Lyon in Bilbao, having also netted in a 2-1 aggregate triumph over Chelsea in the last four.
In the league, Barcelona won 29 of their 30 games, drawing the other, with Bonmati's 11 assists only bettered by team-mate Caroline Graham Hansen (19).
Hansen is one of five other Barca players on the 30-player shortlist, alongside Putellas, Ewa Pajor, Salma Paralluelo and Patricia Guijarro.
Four Chelsea players are nominated after the Blues sealed a dramatic Women's Super League title success in Emma Hayes' final season in charge, with former Barca full-back Lucy Bronze joined by Lauren James, Sjoeke Nusken and Mayra Ramirez.
Bronze and James are two of three England internationals to make the cut, with Lauren Hemp also in the running after scoring 11 WSL goals for Manchester City last term.
The winner of the award – as well as the recipient of the men's prize – will be announced at an awards ceremony in Paris on October 28.
Messi left Barca last year in a move that stunned the world of football, with the Spanish giants unable to afford to fulfil the terms of a new contract that had been all but agreed with the 34-year-old.
That meant Messi could leave as a free agent and he joined Paris Saint-Germain, though his switch to the French capital has not quite hit the expected heights just yet.
PSG look set to cruise to the Ligue 1 title yet fell to a humbling defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League round of 16.
Messi, who will miss PSG's clash with Monaco this weekend due to illness, has scored just seven goals in all competitions.
However, along with Kylian Mbappe, he does top the assists chart in Ligue 1 with 10 so far, while his 48 chances created ranks him as the most creative player in PSG's squad in the French top flight.
There has been speculation that Messi could leave PSG at the end of the season and though it seems unlikely that the Parisians would be willing to lose him and Mbappe, who is out of contract and seems set to join Madrid, Xavi would not turn down the opportunity to be reunited with his former team-mate, whether that be as a sensational transfer or simply as a visitor.
"Messi has earned having the doors open to Barca," Xavi told a news conference ahead of El Clasico on Sunday.
"As long as I'm the coach here, if he wants to come every day to watch training or talk to the coach, what he's given us is priceless, he's the best player in history.
"He deserves a big tribute from the club. But today he has a contract with PSG, I think he signed for two years."
Robert Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong had put Barca 2-0 up in Saturday's game in Andalusia.
However, with Barca cruising to an easy win, play was stopped with under 10 minutes of normal time remaining.
The players waited on the pitch as it became apparent that something in the crowd was amiss, with Cadiz goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma passing what seemed to be medical equipment to those in the stands.
After close to 20 minutes, the referee spoke with the captains of both sides, with the players taken off the field and down the tunnel.
No indication was immediately given as to when or if the match would resume.
A short statement from Barca read: "The game has been stopped due to a medical emergency with a fan in the stands. The players are going to the locker rooms."
Barca agreed a deal to sign Fernandes from Palmeiras for an initial €7million in January, but with that transfer not going through until July he joined Real Valladolid on loan for the rest of the 2019-20 campaign.
However, the midfielder was unable to make his debut before the coronavirus pandemic brought the season grinding to a halt in March.
Despite being unsure what his short-term future holds, Fernandes is confident he will enjoy a successful career at Camp Nou.
Asked about the prospect of playing alongside Messi, Fernandes told Mundo Deportivo: "I can't explain it. To think that soon I will be playing with the best player in the world, I don't even know what to say.
"It is a dream to get to that great club and have the opportunity to be part of it.
"My goal is to play for Barcelona. My contract [with Valladolid] ends in June and I want to be in Barcelona, it is every child's dream.
"If I can't go to Barcelona now, I will continue learning at Valladolid or at another club where they value me. I am happy to be here and playing in LaLiga.
"I think I'm going to succeed at Barca. I have the potential for it. I think I fit in with the style of play.
"I hope I can be there and stay there forever and make history at Barcelona."
He added: "I am very happy because the club showed interest in me. I have great qualities, but I am going to evolve much more there.
"I hope to be there for a long time and I hope to win many titles and bring much happiness to the club and the fans. If the club is happy, I will be."
Fernandes highlighted Sergio Busquets and Xavi as players he admires and hopes to prove as important to Barca as they have been.
"I am a box-to-box midfielder, but I also like to play in a holding role protecting the defence. I am a technical player," he said.
"I know I still have a lot to learn, I am aware of it and I am trying to improve here at Valladolid, but I think I am going to mark an era at Barcelona.
"I need to finish better, play quicker. I think I am a good marker, I have good positioning, a good pass and the most important thing is will and I have the will to improve and do my best for Barcelona.
"I like Sergio Busquets' way of playing a lot and I always noticed him, Xavi too. I'm going to try to do my best to be able to get closer to the level of these great players, knowing that I still have a lot to learn."
Barcola took his tally to eight goals in nine league appearances in PSG's 3-0 triumph over rivals Marseille last weekend.
The France international has now scored nine goals in his last 10 Ligue 1 games, more than in his first 64 (eight).
Barcola, top scorer in the division this term, is also one goal away from equalling his tally over his previous three seasons in the top-flight (nine goals in 65 games).
"I don't know and I'm not worried," Luis Enrique told reporters when asked how far Barcola can go. "But when he doesn't score, others will, that's how teams work.
"There's no extra responsibility, everyone has to protect everyone, there can't be one player under more pressure."
Barcola has also completed more dribbles (18) than any of his PSG team-mates, subsequently seeing fellow forward Randal Kolo Muani drop to the bench.
Kolo Muani joined the Parisiens from Einthract Frankfurt last year and has scored 11 goals and added six assists in 50 appearances in all competitions.
However, the 25-year-old has started just two games for Luis Enrique's side this term, with recent reports linking him with a move away from the Ligue 1 champions.
"I trust what I see in matches and in training. With a coach like me, a player who isn't playing can turn his situation around by the way he trains," Luis Enrique said.
PSG welcome Lens to the Parc des Princes this Saturday, hoping to maintain their three point advantage at the summit of the standings.
They have won their last three games against Lens in Ligue 1 and could equal their best run against them in the top-flight (four in 1983-1984, 1993-1994 and 1996-1997).
Italy are currently top of Group A2 by a point after four games, and know a win against Belgium next week will secure their place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Spalletti was able to name Inter's Nicolo Barella back to his ranks after the midfielder missed the Azzurri's October encounters after undergoing nose surgery.
Only Alessandro Bastoni, Matteo Darmian (both 38) and Marcus Thuram (57) have won more successful duels than Barella (35) for Inter in Serie A this season.
However, the Italians will be without defensive duo Riccardo Calafiori and Matteo Gabbia, with the former picking up a knee issue in Arsenal's Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk.
Spalletti also did not include Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini, who was sent off in the 2-2 draw with Belgium last month, or Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli.
Fiorentina's Pietro Comuzzo, Juventus' Nicolo Savona and Lazio's Nicolo Rovella all come into the squad, receiving their first senior call-ups.
Italy squad in full:
Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Donnarumma, (Paris Saint-Germain), Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham), Alex Meret (Napoli); Alessandro Bastoni (Inter), Alessandro Buongiorno (Napoli), Andrea Cambiaso (Juventus), Pietro Comuzzo (Fiorentina), Giovanni Di Lorenzo (Napoli), Federico Dimarco (Inter), Federico Gatti (Juventus), Caleb Okoli (Leicester City), Nicolo Savona (Juventus), Destiny Udogie (Tottenham); Nicolo Barella (Inter), Davide Frattesi (Roma), Samuele Ricci (Torino), Nicolo Rovella (Lazio), Sandro Tonali (Newcastle); Moise Kean (Fiorentina), Daniel Maldini (Monza), Giacomo Raspadori (Napoli), Mateo Retegui (Atalanta).
Messi has joined Inter Miami, with the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner snubbing a move to Saudi Arabia in order to head to MLS.
The 36-year-old, who has been joined in Florida by Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, is set to make his Miami debut in the Leagues Cup against Cruz Azul on Friday, and the hype around his arrival has been understandably huge.
Yet former Liverpool star Barnes is unsure whether Messi is enough to make football as popular as basketball or American football in the USA.
Barnes referenced global superstars who went to play in the USA in the 1970s as an example of football being unable to bridge the gap.
He said to Stats Perform: "Pele, Franz Beckenbauer and Johann Cruyff went to America in the 1970s, three of the best players in the world and what was the seismic shift then?
"So the fact that we've got some 35 and 36-year-olds going now, what difference is there? There's nothing new. In life, in football, there's nothing new.
"People forget that this happened before and, of course, the shift in football isn't like in Saudi Arabia, it's not about getting two or three superstars.
"It's about developing the other players and having other players going there, not just paying lots of money for two or three superstars.
"Yes, you can market him in whichever way you want. But until our football, overtakes basketball, American football and baseball, nothing will really change in America.
"So I can't see that really impacting over there."
Gary McAllister, another ex-Liverpool player, did not wholly echo Barnes' sentiment, though.
Indeed, McAllister believes Messi's move to MLS is comparable to that of David Beckham, who joined LA Galaxy from Real Madrid in 2007.
"I think with the pictures I've seen so far on his arrival, I think it's similar to when David Beckham went to MLS as well," McAllister said.
"That brought so much publicity to the sport in that country and it has really grown, I think looking at the way with the diversity over there as well."
McAllister acknowledges football still has a way to go to catch up to the NFL or NBA.
He added: "It's competing against sports that have been there for a very long time and are very much established. But I think he's still a player who has got plenty to give, and knowing where he's playing as well, there's a big Hispanic influence in the game in the US, so I think he'll bring fans to the stadiums.
"When you look at the attendances right across the board in the U.S. and MLS it's definitely on the up. And to capture someone like Messi is a big coup for MLS and Miami as well."
Barnes coached the Jamaica Reggae Boyz between 2008-2009. During the period, Barnes coach the team for nine matches, posting 6 wins and 3 draws and going on to win the Caribbean Cup. The result saw the team secure qualification to the Concacaf Gold Cup but Barnes and the JFF unexpectedly parted ways before the team took part in the tournament.
Looking back, the Jamaica-born Barnes admits he would have loved to have coached the team at a major tournament.
“We won the Caribbean Cup and it’s a fantastic trophy to win, it’s a trophy. The Gold Cup was the big one, that is one of my biggest regrets that I wasn’t given that opportunity,” Barnes told Tallawah TV.
Barnes was later replaced by Theodore Whitmore. But after a poor start to the World Cup qualifiers last year, however, the JFF has now sacked Whitmore and appointed his assistant Paul Hall to the interim post. The position could, as a result, become open in the near future.
"I don’t know if it’s unfinished business but that’s one regret that I wasn’t able to go to a big tournament with Jamaica,” Barnes added.
“It’s not about tournaments it’s about every football game you play, going out there and showing what you can do, be it a friendly against Cayman or be it a Gold Cup or a World Cup qualifier and having that same attitude in every single game, every single training session, that is what I love to do, so who knows what the future holds.”
O’Donkor opened the scoring for the Bees after 11 minutes following good work by Zak Brunt and went close to adding a second when he headed over.
Hartigan did double the lead and in spectacular fashion just before the interval when he curled in a free-kick from out on the left.
Hartlepool responded after the break but could not find a way past Josh Keeley in the Barnet goal until Nicky Featherstone headed an 89th-minute consolation.
