As the Grand Slam Track Series prepares to kick off in Kingston on April 4th, 2025, Orlando Bennett is counting his blessings. The talented hurdler is eager to face off against the world's best, and he's feeling grateful for the opportunity.

GST announced on Thursday that Bennett and five other Jamaicans had signed on as Challengers for the first meet of the series at the National Stadium in Kingston. Bennett is joined by Olympic gold medallist Hansle Parchment, Shiann Salmon, Alana Reid, Danielle Williams and Malik James-King, who will be among the athletes taking on the Racers signed up for the meet.

Bennett was unable to contain his excitement in anticipation of the clashes that lay ahead.

"Wow, just being able to continue racing against some of the best in the world is a blessing from God," Bennett emphasized in his recent interview with SportsMax.TV. For him, the chance to compete at this level is a gift, and he's determined to make the most of it.

Bennett's focus is on the 110m hurdles, where he's hungry to lower his personal best. Despite his impressive skills, he feels like he hasn't yet shown his true potential. The Grand Slam Track Series offers the perfect platform for him to push himself and achieve new heights.

In preparation for the series, Bennett's training schedule has undergone some adjustments. While his overall regimen remains largely the same, he's had to adapt to earlier hurdling and sprinting sessions. However, he sees this as a positive development, noting that "the more you do something, the better you'll get." This mindset will undoubtedly serve him well as he takes on the world's top athletes.

With his sights set on success, Orlando Bennett is ready to shine in the Grand Slam Track Series. His dedication, passion, and natural talent make him a formidable competitor, and fans can expect exciting performances from him in Kingston.
