Starting next season, Saint Lucian sprint hurdler Khailan Vitalis will be competing for the Clemson University on the NCAA Division 1 circuit.
The current South Plains College sophomore has officially signed with the Tigers, the school announced on their social media pages on Tuesday.
Vitalis has had a decent season for South Plains including his most recent performance, 13.85 for fourth at the Jo Meaker Classic, a new personal best and Saint Lucian national record.
The 22-year-old also established a new Saint Lucian short course 60m hurdles record of 7.75 at the Corky Classic in January, a few weeks before claiming silver at the NJCAA Indoor Championships in Lubbock.
