Reigning 200m World champion Shericka Jackson opened her season with a second-place finish in the 60m at the Queen’s/Grace Jackson Meet at the National Stadium inn Kingston on Saturday.
Jackson, in her first race since the 2024 Olympics where she pulled out of both the 100m and 200m with injury, produced 7.18 to finish second behind Jodean Williams who won in 7.15.
Jackson will, no doubt, be looking to get back to her best this season with a keen eye on the World Championships later this year in Tokyo while Williams looks set to dip under the 11 second mark for the first time in her career this season.
She ran her personal best 11.01 at last year's National Championships in June.
The men’s event on Saturday saw Kadrian Goldson take top spot in 6.65 ahead of Tyquendo Tracey (6.70) and Gary Card (6.71).
