Local track and field fans will have another opportunity to see some of the most talented young athletes in the country display their skills on the track and in the field at the Douglas Forrest Invitational track and field meet on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Stadium East.

The 18th edition of the meet, which is sanctioned by the JAAA, will see the following events being contested on the track: 400m hurdles (Male Class One & Two, Female Open), 3000m (Female), 5000m (Male), 800m (Male and Female All Classes), 200m (Female Classes One to Four, Male Classes One to Three), 1500m (Male and Female), 4x400m (Male and Female, Only one team per school).

Additionally, the high jump, long jump, triple jump and shot put will be contested for both girls and boys.

Adults looking to enjoy the festivities live will have to pay $1000 while children will cost $500.

The meet had its inaugural staging in 2005. It was canceled in 2022 because of the pandemic.
