Mount Pleasant Academy stretched their winning streak in the Wray & Nephew Premier League to seven games with a 4-0 win over Dunbeholden at the Drax Hall Sports Complex on Sunday.
The league leaders went ahead in the 18th minute through Shaqueil Bradford before going two ahead eleven minutes later through Sue-Lae McCalla.
They continued their dominance in the second half when Raheem Edwards made it 3-0 in the 57th minute.
Kyle Ming completed the scoring with a 67th minute penalty.
Mount Pleasant Head Coach Theodore "Tappa" Whitmore reacted to his team's seventh win in a row.
"Game by game, we keep improving. I think we adapted to what the Dunbeholden team brought to us. They tried to change up their formation but we adapted well. We scored four goals but it could've been more," he said.
Mount Pleasant now have 37 points from 16 games, three points ahead of Montego Bay United who beat Chapelton Maroons 2-1 at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.
Chapelton took the lead in the eighth minute through Damari Deacon before Brian Brown equalized for Mobay eleven minutes before halftime.
Brown was at it again in the second half, scoring in the 52nd minute to secure the three points for his side.
Elsewhere, Arnett Gardens remain level on points with Montego Bay United in third after late goals from Marlon Martin (87’) and Fabian Reid (90+2’) gave them a 2-0 win over Racing United at Ferdie Neita Park.
In the day’s other games, Molynes United handed Harbour View their fourth-straight loss with a 3-1 result at Drax Hall while Vere United secured a 1-0 win over Humble Lion at Effortville Community Centre.
