
Jamaica’s universities and colleges left a strong mark on the final day of the 2025 Penn Relays, capturing titles and showcasing the island’s rich athletic tradition at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
GC Foster College continued its legacy of excellence as Tri Tania Lowe claimed the College Women's Long Jump title. Lowe leapt 6.30m (+2.3) to secure the gold, finishing ahead of Rutgers’ Paige Floriea (6.14m) and Princeton’s Alexandra Kelly (6.11m).
MICO University made their presence felt on the track. Rasheed Foster stormed to victory in the College Men’s 100m dash, clocking 10.46 seconds to edge Tyson Williams of Johnson C. Smith (10.47) and Solomon Hammond of Coppin State (10.48).
MICO also captured the College Men’s 4x100m relay title, with Rimando Thomas, Rasheed Foster, Javaughnie Davis, and Martino Williams combining for a winning time of 40.89 seconds. UMBC (41.81) and Dillard University (41.81) finished second and third, respectively.
