The Boston Celtics made it a 6-0 road trip with their 117-103 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.

The Boston Celtics rounded off the best road trip in their history on Monday, beating the Memphis Grizzlies 117-103, much to coach Joe Mazzulla's delight.

The victory in Memphis made it a 6-0 trip away from Boston, leaving the Celtics second in the East with a 56-19 record.

It was also their eighth straight win on the road, pushing the Celtics to 32-7 away from home, just two wins short of tying Golden State's league record with two road games remaining against New York and Orlando.

But when asked post-game why his team were so good on the road, he suggested that their talents were not exclusive to away games.

"I would venture to say that our guys are good everywhere," he said.

"It's more about just playing consistent basketball. But I think each year you develop different kinds of strengths, especially with the same team. This year it just happened to be our road mentality."

The Celtics have now recorded 23 double-digit wins away from home, having outscored opponents by a total of 404 points on the road.

Western Conference leaders Oklahoma City Thunder are also in with a chance of tying Golden State's record of the fewest away defeats in a season. The Thunder are on a 29-7 record with four away games to go.

For the Celtics, meanwhile, their 32nd away win of the season tied the record for the most road victories in franchise history.

"We've been very focused and I feel like even last year, we were good," said Celtics forward Al Horford.

"But especially in the playoffs I felt like we did a really good job on the road controlling the tempo and being able to play a certain way. It's pretty special, the way that we're playing and some of the things we're doing here."
