The New York Knicks saw their nine-match winning streak come to an end following their defeat by the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.

Josh Hart conceded the New York Knicks have "got to be better" after their winning streak was halted by defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Knicks saw a run of nine consecutive victories come to an end, as the Thunder prevailed 117-107 on Friday.

New York were seeking their first double-digit streak in over 10 years, but were helpless as Oklahoma racked up their 14th straight win.

"No positives. [We've] just got to be better," Hart said after scoring 19 points in 44 minutes.

"We've got to execute a little better, especially in that fourth quarter. We know it. We've got to find it. You can't rely on anything else. We've got to make sure we go out there and execute and play our game.

"We know we’re a good team. We know we have to keep going. But in certain circumstances, it just wasn't a good game for us."

Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson scored 22 points and nine assists on his return from a calf problem, but failed to land any of his five three-point attempts.

"Just uncharacteristic," he said. "It's not what I do in those situations."

Karl-Anthony Towns added: "Unfortunately, we didn't get the job done tonight. It hurts, it stings."
