Defending champions, the Guyana Harpy Eagles, have a slight lead in the points standings heading into round two of the 2025 West Indies Championship set to begin on Wednesday. The Harpy Eagles earned 23.2 points from their first-round 10-wicket win over the Barbados Pride at Providence.
The Trinidad & Tobago Red Force are slightly behind in second with 22.6 points after their equally dominant innings and 75-run win over the Combined Campuses and Colleges at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
The Jamaica Scorpions follow the Red Force on 22.4 points after a 178-run win over the Windward Islands Volcanoes at Arnos Vale while the Leeward Islands Hurricanes also have 22.4 points in fourth after a massive 402-run win over the West Indies Academy at Coolidge.
The Pride (5.4), Volcanoes (4.6), Academy (3.0) and CCC (0.4) round out the standings.
The start of the second round on Wednesday will see the Harpy Eagles facing CCC at Providence, the Pride facing the Academy at Kensington Oval, the Volcanoes taking on the Red Force at Arnos Vale and the Scorpions facing the Hurricanes at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
The games at Kensington Oval and Arnos Vale are both day/night encounters and will start at 12 pm Jamaica time (1 pm (ECT) while the other two games start at 9 am Jamaica time (10 am ECT).
The matches will be broadcast live on the Windies Cricket YouTube channel.
