First up, Goolie led the charge in helping the Red Force to a massive 409 all out, before Phillip was the main destroyer in restricting the Volcanoes to 173 and 152.
When the Red Force bat for the only time in the match, Goolie scored 128, to lead all scorers but was more than well supported by Imran Khan, 84, Kyle Hope, 54, and Jason Mohammed, 45, in putting together 409.
That 409 was made despite 5-60 from Preston McSween. Kenneth Dember toiled hard for his three wickets at a cost of 125 runs, while Ryan John took 1-85, and Obed McCoy took 1-77.
In reply, the Volcanoes could only manage 173 largely thanks to the veteran Devon Smith, who top scored with 67.
Phillip was the chief destroyer, bagging 4-53. Akeal Hosein, 2-27, and Khan, 2-6, provided wonderful support.
The Volcanoes follow on didn’t go any better, with Kerron Cottoy’s 35 accounting for the most runs against Phillip’s 6-19 in just 9.2 overs.
Phillip would end with a remarkable 10-72 in the match.
The draft was conducted via a Zoom meeting and was monitored by CWI’s auditors KPMG to ensure that the process was carried out efficiently and smoothly.
Representatives of each franchise made two picks to bring their contracted squad of players to 15.
Nedd, a left-arm spinner from Guyana, was one of the leading performers for the West Indies at the ICC Under-19 World Cup in South Africa earlier this year. He will help bolster the Hurricanes’ bowling stocks and will bring the experience from the West Indies Emerging Players - winners of the Colonial Medical Insurance Super50 Cup last November.
Joining Nedd as a contracted player is his West Indies Under-19 captain Kimani Melius, who was picked up by the Windward Islands Volcanoes and fast bowler Jayden Seales who was contracted by the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force.
Both Melius and Seales were acquired ahead of the draft as pre-selected players by the respective franchises.
Additionally, two experienced players have found new franchises.
Kyle Hope, who played five Test matches and seven One-Day Internationals in 2017, has moved from Trinidad & Tobago Red Force to Barbados Pride.
Kevin Stoute, a former captain of Barbados Pride who has played 76 first-class matches since his debut back in 2007, will have a new home with the Windward Islands Volcanoes.
CWI’s Director of Cricket Jimmy Adams was happy that CWI was able to get the draft done despite the ongoing pandemic.
"I am pleased to have gotten the regional franchise draft completed,” he said.
“Franchises can now focus on implementing post-lockdown training to gradually build towards their full programs. Obviously, we are all hopeful that we will soon be given the all-clear by the respective Governments to resume full franchise operations," he said.

The Hope brothers, who would have represented Barbados Tridents, will be joined on the sidelines by left-handed opener Trevon Griffith who was part of the Guyana Jaguars batting line-up. The latest round of tests was conducted on Sunday.
The Barbados Pride have already named Zachary McCaskie and Tevyn Walcott as replacements for the Hopes, while Kemol Savory has been named as the replacement for Griffith in the Jaguars squad.
The trio will remain in their respective territories where there will be required to follow local COVID-19 protocols.
All other members of the Barbados Pride and Guyana Jaguars squads returned negative COVID-19 tests and will undergo second tests on Thursday, January 28 before travelling for the tournament, as part of CWI's established protocols.
The CG Insurance Super50 Cup will be played at the Coolidge Cricket Ground and Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua from Sunday, February 7 to Saturday, February 27. On opening day, Leeward Islands Hurricanes will host arch-rivals Windward Islands Volcanoes at CCG.
