Their average speeds remained competitive throughout the race, reaching 129.1 km/h in the first heat and 128.3 km/h in the second.
Christania Williams, a former Olympic sprinter who specialized in the 100m and 200m for Jamaica, has made a seamless transition into winter sports. Her background in sprinting has provided her with explosive power for bobsled starts, contributing to her promising performances on the ice track.
Her result in Lillehammer demonstrates continued improvement and potential for future success as she and Beierl build on their experience and aim for podium finishes in upcoming competitions. The performance also highlights the growing impact of former track and field athletes in winter sports, following the path of many sprinters who have successfully transitioned to bobsledding.
With this fourth-place finish, Williams and Beierl remain competitive on the international circuit, setting the stage for a strong remainder of the season.
