Madison Keys secured her place in the semi-finals of the Australian Open for the third time with a comeback win over Elina Svitolina.

Madison Keys' dream run at the Australian Open continued as she reached the semi-finals by overcoming Elina Svitolina.

Keys fell behind at Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday, yet hit back to prevail 3-6 6-3 6-4 and book a place in the last four at Melbourne Park for the third time in her career.

Her victory was secured at the first time of asking, when Svitolina sent a backhand error long.

The American first reached the semi-finals at the Australian Open in 2015, while she again made the last four in 2022, losing to eventual champion Ash Barty on that occasion.

Data Debrief: Keys unlocking her potential

At 29, this could be Keys' last big shot at a major title, but she should have every confidence of going all the way.

Since 2015, only Serena Williams (four) has reached more women's singles semi-finals at the Australian Open than Keys, who is level with Aryna Sabalenka on three.

Having come into the season's first grand slam on the back of winning the Adelaide International, Keys has now won 10 straight matches, equalling her longest such streak, which she set by triumphing in Adelaide and then reaching the Australian Open semi-finals in 2022.
