Mirra Andreeva's quest for a third straight WTA 1000 title began with a statement win over Veronika Kudermetova in Miami on Friday.

Mirra Andreeva continued her winning streak with a dominant straight-sets victory over Veronika Kudermetova at the Miami Open.

Fresh from her triumphs in Dubai and Indian Wells, the 17-year-old took just 68 minutes to wrap up a 6-0 6-2 rout, and set up a third-round clash with Amanda Anisimova.

Andreeva was already seeking her 20th match win of 2025, and she was quick to assert her dominance on proceedings.

Indeed, she broke in three successive games and, at one stage, won 10 straight points on the way to a bagel in the opening set.

Kudermetova finally stopped the rot in game four of the second set, but she had already been broken by that point.

And there was no stopping Andreeva, who claimed another break in the final game to seal a 13th successive win, all of which have come in WTA 1000 events.

Data Debrief: The teenage sensation roars on

Andreeva is the first teenager to win 13 straight WTA 1000 matches, and only the third player to do so in this decade after Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina.

It was also her 30th win in just 40 matches at WTA 1000 events, with only Bianca Andreescu (38), Maria Sharapova and Venus Williams (39 each) reaching that tally in fewer matches.
