Stephen Curry exited the Golden State Warriors' victory on Thursday with a pelvic injury, ahead of a big six-game road stretch for the team.

Jimmy Butler has warned the Golden State Warriors they must play "perfect basketball" if Stephen Curry is sidelined with the pelvic contusion he suffered on Thursday.

The Warriors held on to beat the Toronto Raptors 117-114 at Chase Center after Curry was forced off with 15 minutes to play.

Curry got undercut and crashed to the floor when going for a rebound and was subsequently helped to the locker room, finishing with 17 points.

Butler, meanwhile, had 18 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists for his second triple-double since joining Golden State in a trade from the Miami Heat last month.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr confirmed after the game that Curry was undergoing an MRI, and Butler says they will have to play error-free basketball if he is out for a stretch of games.

"If he isn't with us, that's just more perfect basketball that we're going to have to play," Butler said.

"We can't afford to turn the ball over. We can't afford to foul. Because we don't have the one individual who can automatically get us back into the game."

The Warriors embark on a six-game road stretch on Saturday, starting with a visit to the Atlanta Hawks. They then take on Butler's former team, the Heat, on Tuesday.

Kerr is hopeful Curry's injury is not serious, revealing the four-time NBA champion wanted to re-enter the game.

"He thought he might be able to come back," Kerr said. "We just decided not to risk anything. So hopefully it's not bad."

Team-mate Draymond Green described Curry's fall as a concerning moment and hopes he will not be absent for long.

"He hit that ground hard," Green told reporters. "You could hear it. It was crazy. Obviously, a very scary moment for us, for him. Hopefully, he's good."

Curry has averaged 24.2 points, six assists and 4.4 rebounds through 60 games this season, making 39.4% of his 3-point attempts and 44.7% of shots from the field.
