Former Trinidad & Tobago international Kevin Molino continued his stellar form at the start of the 2024-25 TTPFL season with a second-straight hat-trick to lead Defence Force to a 6-2 win over Caledonia AIA at La Horquetta Recreation Grounds on Friday.

Molino opened the scoring for the league leaders with a 31st minute penalty before, three minutes later, Isaiah Leacock converted a header to make it 2-0.

Another penalty, this time converted by Justin Garcia, made it 3-0 going into the half.

Seven minutes into the second half, Jean-Heim McFee scored for Caledonia to make it 3-1 before things returned to what they were in the first half as quick goals from Molino and Leacock made it 5-1 just five minutes later.

Molino first got his second of the game in the 54th minute before Leacock scored three minutes later.

Molino completed his hat-trick with a close-range strike in the 61st minute to make it 6-1.

McFee, the only bright spark for Caledonia on the day, got his second of the day in the 88th minute.

The start to this season has truly been a dominant one for the Defence Force outfit who now have a perfect 18 points from six games to lead proceedings.

This win also marks the fourth game in a row in which they’ve scored six goals, taking their tally this season to 28.

In the second game of the La Horquetta double-header, Central FC (15 points) got a 2-1 win over Club Sando (6 points).

After a goalless first half, Tyrone Charles gave Central the lead in the 58th minute before getting a second 11 minutes later.

Club Sando got a lifeline in the 88th minute through Justin Cornwall but Central held on for the win and the three points.
