Goalkeeper Jeadine White and midfielder Tyreek Magee have been called to the Reggae Boyz squad on its way to Saudi Arabia for two international friendlies on November 14 and 17.
The players were called to the squad after an unnamed national player tested positive for the Covid-19 virus, the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) said on Saturday.
According to the JFF, the player, who was in quarantine at the UWI/JFF Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence since Wednesday, was tested on Friday morning and the result became available on Saturday while he was en route to Saudi Arabia.
With the positive result, the player will not make the rest of the journey but instead has been isolated in London before returning home.
Meanwhile, public health officers interviewed the three remaining players, who were in quarantine with the infected player and it was determined that they were low risks. They were allowed to travel under observance by team Doctor Bersha Cole.
The entire squad will be tested and quarantined for three days when they get to Saudi Arabia.
The second player unable to make the trip is the overseas-based Alvas Powell of Inter Miami, who was exposed to a teammate who tested positive for the virus. He was deemed to have been compromised and will miss the trip.
