St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) have announced a competitive 30-man squad to take on Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz in the upcoming CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifiers on March 21 and 25. The squad, featuring a mix of seasoned internationals and promising young talents, will look to cause an upset against the heavily favoured Jamaicans.

Leading the goalkeeping department is Lemus Christopher, one of SVG’s most experienced shot-stoppers. Christopher, who has earned multiple caps for the national team, will provide stability at the back alongside Dondre Abraham, Garwin Davis, and Samir Bristol, who have also been named to the squad.

The defensive unit is bolstered by players with international and professional experience. Jazzi Barnum-Bobb, the 29-year-old right-back who has played in England’s lower divisions, brings leadership and tactical awareness to the backline. Brandon John, a strong centre-back, adds depth and physical presence, while Joseph Barter and Dimitri Thomas are expected to play key roles in SVG’s defensive organization. Also included are Tristan Marshall, Najima Burgin, Andrew Johnson, Nigell Charles, Jamol Yorke, and Kirtney Franklyn, forming a well-rounded defensive core.

In the midfield, SVG will rely on the creativity and energy of Kyle Edwards, who currently plies his trade at Hartford Athletic FC. Edwards is known for his agility and ability to break defensive lines. Joining him are Addeen Charles, Kennijha Joseph, Micah Joseph, Diel Spring, Nazil McBurnette, Bishon Richards, J’Quan Glasgow, and Sherwyn Alexander, all of whom provide a combination of technical ability, composure, and attacking intent.

SVG’s attack is spearheaded by some of the region’s most exciting talents. Oalex Anderson, the standout forward who plays for North Carolina FC, will be a crucial figure in SVG’s quest for goals. Anderson has been a consistent performer for his country and will be looking to add to his international tally. Cornelius Stewart, another seasoned campaigner with experience in South Asia's top flight, will provide attacking support, alongside Shakeem Adams, Steven Pierre, Azinho Solomon, Oryan Velox, and Garret Leigertwood. Velox, in particular, is a player to watch after emerging as a top goal-scorer in regional youth competitions.

SVG’s Head Coach will have the difficult task of setting up his side against a powerful Reggae Boyz squad, that will feature several local-based players.

While Jamaica enters the qualifiers as favourites, SVG’s squad has the potential to cause problems. With their mix of domestic and overseas-based players, they will be eager to prove their quality on the regional stage.
