Erling Haaland has signed a new contract at Manchester City, remarkably keeping him tied to the club until 2034.

Erling Haaland has signed a new nine-and-a-half-year deal at Manchester City.

City's superstar striker joined the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, and has scored 111 goals in all competitions.

With Haaland leading their line, City have won two Premier League titles, the Champions League and FA Cup.

The 24-year-old has netted 21 goals this term in 28 appearances across all competitions, and the Citizens have now tied him down until 2034.

He told City's official website: "I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great club.

"Manchester City is a special club, full of fantastic people with amazing supporters, and it's the type of environment that helps bring the best out of everybody.

"I also want to thank Pep [Guardiola], his coaching staff, my team-mates and everyone at the club as they have all helped me so much in the past couple of years. They have made this such a special place to be and now I am City, no matter what.

"I want to keep developing, keep working to get better and look to do my best to try and help us achieve more success going forward."

Earlier this season, Haaland scored his 100th City goal in just his 105th appearance for the club.

He averages a goal every 93 minutes, and has plundered 11 hat-tricks for the Citizens.

The former Borussia Dortmund forward has scored 78 goals with his left foot, 17 with his right and 15 with his head.

Since he joined City, Haaland has scored more goals than any other player in Europe's top five leagues. Kylian Mbappe has netted 101 times, while Harry Kane has scored 98.

The Norway international has scored 79 Premier League goals, 23 in the Champions League and eight in the FA Cup, with the remaining goal coming in the EFL Cup.

In November 2023, he became the fastest player to reach 50 Premier League goals, hitting the milestone in just 48 matches.
