Imlach's 100, Alimohamed Half-Century Fuel Guyana Harpy Eagles Fight Back Against CCC in West Indies Championship Clash

Guyana Harpy Eagles mounted a strong comeback on day three of their West Indies Championship second-round match against Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence, led by the efforts of Tevin Imlach and Ronaldo Alimohamed.

Resuming their first innings at 166-6, trailing CCC by 209 runs, Guyana staged an impressive fightback to post a total of 343 all out. Wicketkeeper-batsman Tevin Imlach, 58 not out overnight, played a crucial role, crafting a brilliant unbeaten 126 from 239 deliveries, anchoring the innings while wickets fell around him.

All-rounder Ronaldo Alimohamed provided significant support with a blistering 77 off just 66 balls, which included four boundaries and seven sixes. Their efforts helped Guyana reduce the first-innings deficit to just 32 runs before CCC bowlers, led by Akeem Jordan (4-68) and Ojay Shields (4-86), eventually wrapped up the innings.

Despite holding a slender lead, CCC found themselves in deep trouble in their second innings, reaching stumps at 32-3 after 13 overs. Shamar Joseph (1-13), Veerasammy Permaul (1-13), and Kevin Sinclair (1-1) struck early to leave CCC reeling.

Opener Johann Jeremiah was the first to fall, bowled by Joseph for just four runs. Sadique Henry followed soon after, trapped lbw by Permaul for one, while Demario Richards was dismissed by Sinclair for 11, leaving CCC in a precarious position heading into day four.

With CCC holding a slim 64-run lead and seven wickets in hand, Guyana Harpy Eagles will look to capitalize on their momentum and push for victory in what has turned into an intriguing contest.
