The Gujarat Titans went top of the Indian Premier League table following a fourth straight victory, as Sai Sudharsan hit 82 in Ahmedabad.
Sai Sudharsan played a starring role as the Gujarat Titans went top of the Indian Premier League standings with a 58-run victory over the Rajasthan Royals.
Sudharsan notched his third half-century of the season in Ahmedabad, courtesy of an impressive 82 off 53 balls, to help his side to a fourth successive win.
The Royals opted to bowl and claimed the early wicket of Shubman Gill (2) in the third over, though it ultimately proved a false dawn.
Sudharsan led the way, while Jos Buttler and Shahrukh Khan both chipped in with 36 to take the Titans to 217-6.
Rajasthan's chase got off to a stuttering start, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana falling for six and one respectively to leave them at 12-2 in the third over.
Sanju Samson (41) and Shimron Hetmyer (52) gave them hope, but it all proved academic as their side were eventually bowled out for 159 in the final over.

Sudharsan took his IPL run tally to 1,307 in only his 30th innings.
Only Shaun Marsh (1,338) has recorded more in his opening 30 innings in the competition.
The 23-year-old's knock of 82 consisted of eight fours and three sixes from 53 balls, as he passed the half-century mark for the third match in a row.
That also included 39 off 22 balls during the powerplay, with only Wriddhiman Saha (54 against Lucknow Super Giants in 2023) scoring more runs during a powerplay for the Titans.
