In Central and South Eleuthera, a dream is steadily taking shape—one layer of asphalt at a time. This as the Bahamas Striping Group of Companies (BSGC) reaffirmed its commitment to assist in ensuring some of the island's future athletic stars have a proper facility where they can hone their craft.
As their progress continues on building a track at Preston Albury High School, the project stands as more than just a construction site; it’s a beacon of opportunity.
The Atario Mitchell-led BSGC has built a reputation for expertly handling projects of all sizes and complexities, offering solutions that are both lasting and transformative. And now, they’ve turned their focus to youth development, pouring that same level of care and precision into a track that could one day produce the next Bahamian sprinting sensation.
“Our CPS team has been hard at work compacting the base, moving one step closer to delivering a world-class track for the students of Central & South Eleuthera. This track isn’t just about athletics—it’s about opportunity," the company shared in a recent social media post.
For years, aspiring athletes in Eleuthera have pushed their limits without the benefit of proper facilities. BSGC hopes to change that with the completion of a space where raw talent can meet proper infrastructure—where dreams are given the room to sprint, leap, and soar.
The significance of this project stretches far beyond the lanes that will soon be painted. It represents a pathway to scholarships, careers in sports, and personal development. It’s about inspiring the next generation to believe that they, too, can follow in the footsteps of Eleuthera’s own Chris “The Fireman” Brown, the legendary Olympian who rose from humble beginnings to stand on the world’s biggest athletic stages.
“Eleuthera’s talent deserves a stage, and we’re building it!” BSGC declared.
