The Phoenix Suns will be without Kevin Durant for at least one week after the 14-time NBA All-Star sprained his left ankle Tuesday night.
Durant sustained the injury late in the second quarter of Phoenix’s 104-93 win over the San Antonio Spurs and wound up finishing with 13 points in 16 minutes of action.
The 36-year-old forward was playing in his fourth game after missing seven straight contests due to a left calf strain.
Phoenix went 1-6 in those seven games without Durant and is 11-2 with him in the lineup this season.
Durant is averaging 25.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.46 blocks while shooting 53.6 per cent overall and 44.9 per cent (35 of 78) from 3-point range.
