Amari Morgan-Smith’s late winner earned Kidderminster a 1-0 National League win at York.
Morgan-Smith pounced in the 83rd minute at the LNER Community Stadium to head the ball in off the bar following a Joe Leesley corner.
The visitors had the better of the first-half chances, Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain heading just wide at the far post from Caleb Richards’ left-wing cross and York goalkeeper David Stockdale beating away a fierce effort from Morgan-Smith, who spun and shot after finding space in the area.
Adam Crookes headed narrowly wide from a Maziar Kouhyar at the other end before Kidderminster missed a golden chance on the stroke of half-time.
Morgan-Smith cut the ball back for Zak Brown, who looked set to score, only for Levi Andoh to deflect his shot behind.
The visitors finally broke the deadlock when York failed to clear a Leesley corner and Morgan-Smith forced the ball past Stockdale and over the line via the underside of the bar.
Kouhyar brought a good save from Christian Dibble as York sought a leveller, but it did not come and they slumped to a second straight defeat.
