Constant Spring FC turned on the style on Saturday with a commanding 4-0 victory over Santos FC in the latest round of the KSAFA Championship League. The home side asserted their dominance early and never looked back as they stormed to one of the biggest wins of the weekend.
The result was a major boost for Constant Spring as they continued their push for promotion, while Santos were left to rue defensive lapses that were punished with ruthless efficiency.
Elsewhere in the round, Boys Town and JDF FC played out a cagey 0-0 draw in a match that lacked cutting edge in the final third. Olympic Gardens FC edged Real Mona FC 2-1 in an entertaining affair, with Cheanardo Anderson and Andre Leslie scoring for the hosts, while Jordan Fowler pulled one back for Mona.
Duhaney Park FC secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over August Town FC, thanks to a decisive strike from Akeem Brown. Shortwood United also got the better of Browns Town FC 2-1, with goals from Malik Morris and Theodore Johnson. Markland Gracey netted the consolation for Browns Town.
Meanwhile, in the highest-scoring match of the round, Barbican FC outgunned Maverley/Hughenden FC 4-2. Dwayne Barnes opened the scoring for Barbican before Akino Bailey added a brace, and Jermain Parris capped the scoring. Marverly/Hughenden got their goals from Omarion Barrett and Gervier Grant, but it wasn’t enough to prevent defeat.
