Leandro Trossard would be keen on reuniting with Graham Potter at Chelsea but said speculation on his Brighton and Hove Albion future "makes no sense" at this moment.
Belgium international Trossard has shone during Brighton's fine start to the Premier League season, scoring twice in six appearances, but the Seagulls are now set for new guidance.
Head coach Potter's departure for Chelsea will provide a challenge for Brighton, who appointed Roberto De Zerbi as his successor, and the new Stamford Bridge chief could raid his former club in future transfer windows.
Speculation has suggested Trossard is a player Potter would be keen to bring in, and the 27-year-old winger has opened the door for a move, though he made it clear it is pointless to discuss until any offer is made.
"I feel very good, we had a super start with Brighton," Trossard told Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.
"I have evolved tremendously. I now know how the Premier League works. I've grown tremendously in that. Confidence, mentally, physically, I have become better. I have mastered the tricks now.
"Our coach did leave for Chelsea now but speculation about me following makes no sense. If the opportunity arises, I want to go. But I want to play and not sit on the bench."
Kleindienst receives maiden Germany call-up
Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann has handed a first call-up to forward Tim Kleindienst in his latest squad.
Kleindienst scored 12 Bundesliga goals for Heidenheim last season.
Those goals propelled Heidenheim to an eighth-place finish, and secured Kleindienst a move to Borussia Monchengladbach.
Since the start of last season, Kleindienst has contested the most duels (622) and made the most sprints (1216) of any player in the Bundesliga.
The 29-year-old has already netted twice for his new club, and with West Ham's Niclas Fullkrug out injured, Nagelsmann has given Kleindienst the nod for October's Nations League clashes with Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Netherlands.
"Kleindienst at Heidenheim performed well over an entire year and he has integrated himself well at his new club Borussia Moenchengladbach," said Nagelsmann.
"He has earned this. The injury to Fullkrug is a good opportunity to test Tim. He now has to prove himself."
Marc-Andre ter Stegen's long-term injury, meanwhile, means Oliver Baumann is a likely candidate to start in goal.
The Hoffenheim goalkeeper will be aged 34 years and 131 days on October 11, when Germany take on Bosnia.
Should Baumann play, he will become the third-oldest player to make his first appearances for Germany.

Popp to bring curtain down on illustrious Germany career
Germany great Alexandra Popp has confirmed her impending international retirement.
Popp, the captain of Germany's women's team, will play her final game for her country on October 28, against Australia.
The 33-year-old has played for Germany since 2010, and has scored 67 goals in 144 appearances.
She won gold at the Rio Olympics and claimed bronze in Paris this year, while also leading Germany at two World Cups and skippering them at the 2022 Euros, in which they reached the final before losing to England.
"I have always stressed that my gut will make the decision, and now it has," Wolfsburg's Popp said in a video posted on social media on Monday.
"After long, tearful deliberations, I have decided with a heavy heart to end my career with the national team. The fire that ignited in me 18 years ago and grew stronger from year to year has now almost burnt out.
"It was always important to me to make this decisive decision myself, from within myself. Neither my body, which is a ticking time bomb, nor another person should get ahead of me.
"Before the fire is completely extinguished - because then it would be too late - the right time has now come."
Popp missed Germany's Euro 2013 success due to injury.
Al Kholood 2-4 Al-Hilal: Koulibaly on target as champions move to summit
Al-Hilal withstood a late Al Kholood rally to move top of the Saudi Pro League following a 4-2 victory at King Abdullah Sport City Stadium.
The damage was done during a late first-half surge by the reigning champions, who leapfrogged Al-Ittihad to the summit of the table.
Al-Hilal broke the deadlock in the 38th minute through former Napoli and Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who finished after Renan Lodi initially struck the woodwork.
Malcom doubled the lead four minutes later, then Ali Al Bulayhi made it 3-0 in first-half stoppage time.
Former Atletico Madrid and Nottingham Forest defender Lodi then got in the act to make it four within three minutes of the restart.
The hosts finished the contest the stronger of the two sides with Hammam Al Hammami and a William Troost-Ekong penalty halving the deficit, but that rally could not prevent the visitors from remaining perfect after their first five games.

Al-Hilal have won each of their opening five games in a Saudi Pro League season for the third time in their history, also achieving the feat in 2010-11 and 2018-19.
