Rangers have now picked up just 13 points and three wins from 11 games on the road, after they were held to a 1-1 with Dundee on Thursday.

Rangers endured another away day to forget as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Dundee to leave them 15 points adrift of leaders Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

Philippe Clement's side have now won just three of their 11 games away from Ibrox this season, piling more pressure on the Rangers boss amid a poor run of results.

Dundee took a surprise sixth-minute lead when Josh Mulligan's pullback was swept beyond Liam Kelly by Oluwaseun Adewumi for his third league goal of the season.

The hosts felt they should have been awarded a penalty when Clinton Nsiala stood on Simon Murray's foot inside the box, with Rangers drawing level just moments after.

A fast break forward saw Hamza Igamane evade Aaron Donnelly's challenge before slipping in Vaclav Cerny, who finished at Trevor Carson's near post.

Dundee thought they had retaken the lead after the break when Adewumi turned home, but Murray was deemed to be in an offside position in the build-up by VAR.

With the game entering the closing stages, Rangers midfielder Mohamed Diomande tried his luck from distance, but saw his effort agonisingly rattle the left-hand post as the spoils were shared.

Data Debrief: More unhappy travels for Clement's side

Rangers may have felt their 3-0 win over Celtic was a turning point in their season, but they have since followed up that win with draws against Hibernian and Dundee.

With the gap to rivals Celtic seemingly impossible to make up, Clement's men were perhaps lucky to come away from Dens Park with a point.

They rarely offered a threat in the final third, registering an expected goals (xG) total of just 0.73 from their 13 attempts, compared to Dundee's 1.01 from their 12 efforts.

Rangers have failed to win any of their last eight matches when conceding first in the Premiership, since a victory over Dundee last May.
