A maiden first-class century from captain Johann Jeremiah helped the Combined Campuses and Colleges build a 201-run second innings lead over the West Indies Academy at stumps on day three of their sixth-round West Indies Championship fixture at the Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground in St. Augustine.
The CCC entered Friday’s play 35-0 off nine overs, trailing the Academy by 43 runs on first innings.
They went on to end the day 279-4 in 68 overs thanks to Jeremiah’s century and a half century from Shaqkere Parris, his second of the game.
Jeremiah made 107 off 131 balls including 11 fours and three sixes while Parris made 56 off 89 balls including eight fours.
Damel Evelyn and Kieran Powell also had solid contributions with 47 and 35, respectively.
Pacers Jediah Blades and Kelvin Pitman have split the four wickets to fall.
