
Jamaican sprinter Jodean Williams stormed to victory in the women’s 60m final at the Tiger Paw Invitational in Clemson, South Carolina, on Friday. The Adidas-sponsored sprinter clocked a personal best of 7.14 seconds, securing the win ahead of Aniyah Kitt of Clemson (7.23 seconds) and USC’s Jassani Carter (7.24 seconds).
Jamaica’s Travis Williams put in a solid performance in the men’s 60m final, finishing second in 6.62 seconds behind Mississippi State’s Adekalu Fakorede, who won in 6.60 seconds (PB).
Notably, no other sprinters finished the race, as multiple competitors did not start (DNS).
Jamaican hurdler LaFranz Campbell secured a third-place finish in the 60m hurdles final, clocking 7.67 seconds.
The event was won by USC’s Johnny Brackins, who registered a personal best of 7.48 seconds, while Auburn’s Ja’Kobe Tharp finished second in 7.53 seconds (PB).
In the women’s long jump, Chantel Malone of the British Virgin Islands took first place with a leap of 6.33m (20-9¼). UCLA’s Sydney Johnson finished second with a personal best jump of 6.17m (20-3), while Amare Harlan of Michigan placed third.

In the Women’s Long Jump Invitational, Aliya Foster of Texas registered a personal best leap of 6.54m (21-5½) to finish second.
The event was won by Qunesha Burks of the United States, who recorded 6.59m (21-7½). Celine Brown of Rutgers placed third with a jump of 6.27m (20-7).
The Tiger Paw Invitational saw standout performances from Caribbean athletes, including Jodean Williams' commanding 60m victory, Travis Williams' strong run in the men’s final, and LaFranz Campbell’s podium finish in the hurdles.
