Captain of the Jamaica Tallawahs said his team are rested and ready to go for the playoffs of the 2022 Hero CPL season.
The Tallawahs began the season well winning their first three matches but ended the preliminary round with four wins, five losses and one no-result. To make matters worse, their match against the St Lucia Kings on Sunday was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Notwithstanding, their recent form, Powell has expressed confidence in his team ahead of their clash against the Kings on Tuesday.
“We had two very good training sessions leading up to the game yesterday (Sunday). It was just unfortunate that we didn’t get to play but such is the nature of the sport,” said Powell during a press conference with the four captains in the playoffs on Monday.
“The guys are rested and ready to go for the big weekend that is coming up.”
