Centuries from captain Tevin Imlach and Kevlon Anderson have put the Guyana Harpy Eagles firmly in charge at stumps on day three of their sixth-round West Indies Championship fixture against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes at Warner Park in Basseterre.

The Harpy Eagles, who entered the day 137-1 in 42 overs enjoying a five-run second innings lead, finished the day 381-4 in 138 overs, leading by 239 runs thanks to some brilliant batting.

Captain Tevin Imlach finished the day 103* from 215 balls, hitting just one four and two sixes in an excellent display of strike rotation and patience.

This is Imlach’s third hundred of the season, adding to his 126* against the CCC in round two and 113 against the Windward Islands Volcanoes in round five.

Also hitting his third hundred of the season was Kevlon Anderson with his 101 off 246 balls including 10 fours.

After Matthew Nandu added 13 to his overnight 53 before being dismissed, Imlach and Anderson added 114 in 47.3 overs for the third wicket, making the Hurricanes bowlers toil in the Warner Park sun.

Kevin Sinclair was not out on 31 alongside Imlach at stumps.
