The 22-year-old, who was an unused substitute in Dortmund's 3-2 loss to Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday, has been out of action since sustaining a muscle injury in October.
Adeyemi made just five Bundesliga appearances before his injury, but still has the joint-most assists of any Dortmund player in the competition (three), while he also scored twice and created nine chances so far this term.
"Karim already wanted to play against Barcelona," Sahin told reporters. "He's training very well, he's very stable.
"He looks fresh and is definitely a candidate for the last two games of the year."
Sahin's side have been hit by injuries in recent weeks, with defenders Nico Schlotterback, Niklas Sule and Waldemar Anton currently out, while the head coach was unsure about the availability of Julian Ryerson, Julian Brandt and Maximilian Beier.
"We still have to wait and see with Ryerson, Brandt and Beier," he added.
"We have our final training session tomorrow and will then decide who will start alongside Emre Can in central defence."
Dortmund currently sit sixth in the Bundesliga table with 21 points from 13 matches, their worst start to a league campaign in seven years. They trail leaders Bayern Munich by 12 points, having drawn their last two league outings 1-1.
With 19 points at the Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund are the Bundesliga's best home team this season – they have only been better off after seven top-flight home games in 2021-22 (21 points).
Hoffenheim, meanwhile, are still winless away from home in the competition this season, picking up just three points, though Sahin is still expecting a stiff test against the side sitting 14th in the table.
"We've completely analysed Hoffenheim. We know what we're up against... But now we're focussing on ourselves and our game," he said.
Leverkusen's 35-game unbeaten run in the Bundesliga ended in their last match, losing just their second game of the campaign at home to RB Leipzig after going the whole of the last league season without a defeat.
The international break has since reduced their preparation time for the trip to Hoffenheim, but Alonso remains optimistic about their chances of bouncing back.
"It was an express preparation, with an express meeting with the team, and individual discussions," Xabi Alonso told reporters on Friday.
"Friday is our last training session with the whole team. Of course, we don't have a lot of time to prepare for Saturday, but that's our normal dynamic.
"We will see if this express meeting was efficient or not."
Leverkusen needed a late goal to snatch a 3-2 win at Borussia Monchengladbach in their opener, before going down 3-2 against Leipzig, but the manager does not believe it is all doom and gloom.
"We're doing a lot of things very well, but there are a few things we need to improve to reach our best level," he said.
"There aren't too many things, but there are important things to improve. Hopefully, we have a better performance, a more complete performance.
"It's a football and a mentality issue. We have to improve tactically, with the ball, but also with our mentality and concentration to improve and be a bit better."
The coach said that all his players returned healthy from international duty, and he took the time to back his defender Jonathan Tah after the German came under criticism from an opposition manager.
After the 2-2 Nations League draw between Germany and the Netherlands on Tuesday, Dutch manager Ronald Koeman said that Tah, who was replaced at half-time, had big problems and made a lot of mistakes.
"It's his opinion. My opinion is that Jonathan is a top player for us," Alonso said.
"What he did in the international break, the international game is not my topic. And he was here yesterday, in a good mood, with a good feeling, so that's my main concern."
Victor Boniface scored twice and set up Martin Terrier, with Florian Wirtz adding the other after Mergim Berisha had pulled one back for the hosts.
It was an important win for last season's domestic double-winners as they recovered from their loss to RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga before the international break.
"It was an important test for us to not concede a second goal after going 2-0 up," said Alonso, whose team had taken a two-goal lead at home against Leipzig before eventually losing 3-2.
"We reacted well and this time we controlled the game better and were more stable until the end. We know we will get our chances if we are patient and that is what we have to patiently work towards."
Leverkusen's defeat by Leipzig was their first in the Bundesliga in over a year (462 days) after winning last year's title undefeated.
However, they proved a threat on Saturday, having 20 shots, getting eight of those on target, while accumulating 3.62 expected goals.
"We were ready today to show our highest level," said Alonso. "We were serious and very professional.
"Hoffenheim made it difficult for us in the 10 minutes before the break but we came back after half-time to show sufficient energy."
Leverkusen, who have six points from three games, kick off their Champions League campaign on Thursday at Feyenoord.
The Bundesliga champions have already signed big-name duo Sadio Mane and Matthijs de Ligt, while the promising Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui have arrived from Ajax.
Speaking at a news conference to present De Ligt to the media after his €80million arrival from Juventus, Kahn revealed he expects there to be further movement.
Teenage Rennes forward Tel, experienced RB Leipzig midfielder Laimer and Germany international Raum have all been linked with a switch to the Allianz Arena.
"We have had further discussions with these players and now we just have to wait and see," said Bayern CEO Kahn on Wednesday.
"The transfer window is still open for a while. Sometimes things move very quickly.
"After analysing last season, we thought we should make a few statements. We want to continue to be among the top four teams in Europe."
Bayern have lost star striker Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona, with the Catalan giants continuing to make significant outlays in the transfer market despite questions about their finances.
Julian Nagelsmann openly questioned the situation at Barca but Kahn was far more cautious on the subject.
"You can't be fooled by all the transfers from Barcelona. I'm not a fan of judging things from the outside," said Kahn.
"None of us can really judge how the situation is. I find that a bit difficult. They'll know what they're doing because they're the only ones who really know the numbers."
After the German government on Wednesday granted permission for the top two tiers to return behind closed doors, DFL chief executive Christian Seifert confirmed games will get back under way on May 16.
The Revierderby between Borussia Dortmund and Schalke will headline the first group of matches, while league leaders Bayern Munich are in action next Sunday and Bayer Leverkusen will travel to Werder Bremen the following day.
The rest of the Bundesliga season has also been mapped out, with the eight rounds of fixtures – and Werder's game in hand against Eintracht Frankfurt – to be contested before the final day on June 27.

Questions over the issue arose after Dedryck Boyata appeared to plant a kiss on the cheek of Hertha Berlin team-mate Marko Grujic during the 3-0 win at Hoffenheim as the Bundesliga returned to action.
The act seemed incongruous considering mask-wearing substitutes were sitting significant distances apart from one another along the sidelines.
Germany's top tier resumed on Saturday after a hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic. Other players kept their distance after scoring during fixtures, while some touched elbows.
However, there will be no repercussions should team-mates decide to celebrate as normal because the DFL only provided recommended guidance on the matter.
A DFL spokesperson said: "The celebration of the players is not part of the medical organisational concept of 'Task Force Sports medicine/Special league operation', which was added to the DFL rulebook on Thursday.
"Regarding goal celebrations, they only gave advice as orientation in addition to the concept - therefore sanctions are void."
Hertha's win came in Bruno Labbadia's first game at the helm and he defended the actions of his players.
"Celebrating goals is part of football. We have been tested so often that I think you can allow it," Labbadia said. "It would be a shame if you weren't allowed to celebrate any more.
"I hope people out there understand it. It is just a recommendation [from the DFL] to hold back.
"We have tested negative six times, most recently on Friday. Emotions are part of the game, otherwise we don't need to play it."
Thuram was given his marching orders by referee Frank Willenborg 11 minutes from time at Borussia-Park following an off-the-ball incident that was spotted by the VAR.
The France international spat at Posch as they squared up when the two sides were level at 1-1 and Ryan Sessegnon made matters worse for Gladbach by securing a 2-1 victory.
Striker Thuram expressed his remorse for his behaviour and said he would accept whatever punishment comes his way, but claimed he did not spit at Posch on purpose.
He posted on Twitter and Instagram: "Today something took place that is not in my character and must never happen.
"I reacted to an opponent in a wrong way and something occured [sic] accidently and not intentionally.
"I apologise to everyone, to Stefan Posch, to my opponents, to my team-mates, to my family and all those who saw my reaction. Of course, I accept all of the consequences of my gesture."
Foals boss Marco Rose said there was no excuse for Thuram's actions following his side's first home defeat of the season in the Bundesliga, which leaves them in eighth place.
"On behalf of the club and personally as head coach, I would like to apologise for the red-card incident involving Marcus Thuram," said Rose.
"It is completely out of line and has no place on the football pitch.
"Marcus is a good person, is self-respecting and has been well raised. He must have blown a fuse in that moment - it's the only explanation for his behaviour. I apologise for that. He has done his team a disservice."
Thuram enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in the Bundesliga last season, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists from 30 opportunities created.
However, the 23-year-old has only netted twice in the Bundesliga this term, converting only 25 per cent of the big chances – as per Opta data – that he has been presented with across 13 games.
What should have been a joyous 6-0 away win for Bayern on Saturday was soured when the contest was halted during the second half after visiting fans held up banners insulting Hoffenheim owner Dietmar Hopp.
After the referee enforced the stoppage to facilitate the banners' removal following appeals from the Bayern players, the two teams saw out the rest of the match by passing the ball among themselves as a show of solidarity towards Hopp.
Bayern boss Hansi Flick and chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge apologised for what they described as "ugly" protests, while Hopp has told his critics he will not stop attending games.
In an open letter to supporters, Hainer joined the condemnation and will be involved in meetings to discuss the next steps that will be taken.
"All of us at FC Bayern are still stunned by yesterday's incidents in Hoffenheim," he wrote on Sunday.
"We are ashamed of the behaviour of a few so-called "fans" in the FC Bayern terrace and seating area during the game.
"Dietmar Hopp was insulted in the worst imaginable way by a few idiots with a banner. He was defamed, from a distance, anonymously, namelessly, and in a cowardly way. The events were an absolute low point.
"On behalf of the entire club, I would like to apologise once again to Dietmar Hopp for this!"
After reiterating the club's values of tolerance and respect, Hainer added: "We will not allow our club to be damaged by a tiny minority.
"[They are] people who are not concerned about football and FC Bayern, but about showing off on a stage that does not belong to them.
"It is high time to act decisively. Racism, exclusion, insults and discrimination of any kind and against anyone must stop now. This is also the opinion of the overwhelming majority of FC Bayern fans.
"In the next few days, the relevant bodies at FC Bayern Munich will meet and talk. We will examine all the options to prevent a repetition of events as undignified as those in Hoffenheim.
"We will also use all the means at our disposal to take decisive action against those who have discredited FC Bayern and the whole of German football, and trampled on our values."
The Nigerian scored two goals and laid on an assist, ensuring Leverkusen got back to winning ways in their first game since the international break.
The visitors struck twice in the first half an hour for a 2-0 lead, with Boniface setting up Martin Terrier for a tap-in in the 17th minute before turning scorer with a clever finish.
Mergim Berisha, making his first appearances since a knee ligament tear last November, cut the deficit for Hoffenheim just before the break from close range.
Leverkusen restored their two-goal lead courtesy of a penalty, buried by Florian Wirtz in the 72nd minute, after Dennis Geiger fouled Alex Grimaldo in the box.
Boniface then single-handedly dismantled the Hoffenheim defence with a strong run down the left, powering a shot past keeper Oliver Baumann three minutes later to lift Leverkusen to fourth place on six points.

It came as quite a shock before the international break when Leverkusen's 35-game unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga ended, with RB Leipzig handing them their first defeat in 462 days.
But Xabi Alonso's side quickly shook that result off, and extended their impressive unbeaten run on the road - they are now unbeaten in 19 such matches (W16 D3). It is also the first time they have won their first two away games in a Bundesliga season.
Meanwhile, Baumann made his 464th Bundesliga appearance in this match, drawing him level with Toni Schumacher and Lothar Matthaus. This was his 92nd consecutive game in the competition.
Gift Orban, who has scored twice in all competitions this season, has left financially stricken Lyon for Hoffenheim on a long-term deal.
Hansi Flick has been hugely successful since taking charge at Bayern, but a strained relationship with sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has led to speculation over his future beyond the current campaign.
Amid links to the upcoming vacancy with the Germany national team, Flick cryptically said after the Champions League exit to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday: "I have a contract with Bayern but you always have thoughts about how the future looks and if everything is working wonderfully here."
Lothar Matthaus claimed while working for Sky Deutschland's coverage of the Champions League second leg that Bayern had already "talked a bit" to Nagelsmann about taking over, should Flick leave his current post.
However, speaking to the media on Wednesday, the Leipzig boss denied having held any such conversations with the reigning Bundesliga champions.
"There were and are no talks with Bayern. I have no idea where Lothar got this information from. This of course also applies to my advisors, there were also no talks," Nagelsmann said.
"I have not spoken to the club because there will be nothing to discuss. I still have a contract with RB until 2023."
Nagelsmann was speaking to preview second-placed Leipzig’s home game against his former employers Hoffenheim on Friday.
The game offers the hosts a chance to increase the pressure on table-topping Bayern in the title race; the gap stands at five points with six games to play in the season.
"We still need eight points for this to be the most successful season in the club’s history," Nagelsmann said ahead of the run-in.
"We have to win our games – it is that simple. We are focusing only on ourselves in order to get as many points as we can. Then we will see whether Bayern stumble or not. Normally, it wouldn't happen.
"If we finish in second then it was still an outstanding season.
"We still have room to develop as a team and we have had a really consistent season even though we have so many young players in our ranks. We have been good, you've seen that already. If we can now go from good to great then we would be more than happy."
