Jamaican rallycross sensation Fraser McConnell delivered another standout performance on the European stage with back-to-back podium finishes at Rounds Five and Six of the RallyX in Riga, Latvia, at the weekend.

McConnell secured second place in the FC2 category on Friday, followed by a third-place finish on Saturday, as he continued his consistent run in the 2025 RallyX season so far. This marks his third consecutive double podium weekend, after strong performances in Portugal and the Netherlands. Notably, this occasion also marked the first time a Jamaican has competed in RallyX Latvia, a Baltic nation with a rich motorsports tradition.

The Jamaica stalwart continues to make waves in the FC2 class, a new single-spec 4WD turbocharged rallycross division designed to offer a more accessible alternative to traditional Supercars, as he competes in a prototype FC2 car, assisting in testing and refining its performance throughout the season.

"Fraser is giving us great feedback and is pushing the FC2 to its absolute limit. He’s working closely with our engineers, and we plan to implement key improvements ahead of the next round in Finland on June 14–15,” said Andreas Eriksson, owner of the FC2 project.

Meanwhile, McConnell welcomed the experience.

"This weekend was a big step forward for us. To come to a new country, compete on a technical track like Riga, and walk away with two trophies—it means the team’s hard work is paying off. I'm proud to keep flying the Jamaican flag on these stages," he declared.

So far this season, McConnell has delivered top-three results across both the FC2 and Open 4WD Pro classes, and his consistent performance and presence on the podium have made him a standout in the 2025 RallyX championship.
