Jamaican driver Tommi Gore made a strong start to his 2025 ADAC GT4 Germany campaign on Friday, helping his AVIA W&S Motorsport team secure a top-four finish in Free Practice during Round 1 at Oschersleben.
Teaming up with Israeli driver Ariel Gabbay in the No. 30 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS, Gore recorded a best lap time of 1:30.719, just 0.179 seconds off the session's fastest time. The pair’s performance placed them fourth overall in a competitive 21-car field, underlining their potential ahead of the season’s opening race.
The AVIA W&S Motorsport outfit showed early dominance, placing three cars in the top four. The fastest time of the session came from teammates Hendrik Still and Paul Gogollok in the No. 1 car, who clocked 1:30.540. The Austrian-Norwegian pairing of Roland Rennhofer and Elias Heyerdahl followed closely in second (1:30.553), while Gore and Gabbay narrowly trailed their fellow AVIA teammates Leo Robinson and Oliver Kristensen, who finished third in 1:30.705.
Gore’s performance in Free Practice marks an encouraging start to the season for the young Jamaican, who continues to grow in stature on the European racing circuit. With AVIA W&S Motorsport’s cars clearly on pace, the duo of Gore and Gabbay will look to build on this strong showing when qualifying and racing action gets underway.
The ADAC GT4 Germany series, running alongside the DTM championship, continues this weekend with qualifying and Race 1 scheduled for Saturday at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
