Building on the momentum of an energized 2024 racing season, Caymanas Park is pleased to announce a new partnership with Newport Mills, a division of CB Group, through their premium Nutramix feed brand, Frontrunner.
The $4 million sponsorship agreement spans the 2025 racing calendar, and Samuel Jones, Sales Manager, Newport Mills, said it demonstrates CB Group's commitment to supporting Jamaica's horse racing industry.
"As the manufacturer and supplier of Frontrunner, Jamaica’s number one horse feed, we have enjoyed a strong relationship with Caymanas Park and the racing industry as a whole for many years. It’s therefore a natural progression for us to increase our investment in the sport. We’re excited about the partnership and hope that our support will lead to not only memorable performances but also contribute to the sustainability of the industry,” Jones said
The partnership will enhance several prestigious races throughout the year, including the final leg of the Road to the Triple Crown series. Both the Portmore (Grade 2) and the Kingston (Grade 2) races in May 2025 will receive purse contributions of $1 million each, adding significant value to these important events.
Further highlighting CB Group's investment in the development of young horses, the partnership includes sponsorship of the Dye Job Sprint, a Restricted Stakes race for two-year-olds, scheduled for December 2025 with a purse contribution of $500,000. Additionally, trainers will benefit from Frontrunner feed giveaways throughout the year.
Christopher Wills, VP Operations at Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL), welcomed the partnership.
"We are excited to welcome CB Group to the Caymanas Park family through their Frontrunner brand. This partnership represents another significant step in our ongoing commitment to elevate horse racing in Jamaica," Wills said.
“We continue to execute our vision of attracting new sponsors, expanding our fan base, investing in the sustainability of the sport, and developing Caymanas Park as the ultimate destination for entertainment in the Caribbean.
“CB Group's support of both our marquee events and grassroots development through the trainers' program aligns perfectly with our mission to preserve and enhance Caymanas Park's legacy as Jamaica's home of champions,” he added.
CB Group joins existing valued sponsors Lasco and TruShake, further strengthening the corporate support for the Caribbean's premier horse racing venue. This addition to Caymanas Park's sponsorship portfolio reflects the growing confidence in the track's direction following a strong performance in 2024.
