After a breakout 2024 season that saw her claim multiple titles, including the Novice Nationals and Junior Bikini Wellness crown, Bryana Johnson is approaching the 2025 competitive season with a singular focus—earning her professional card. The rising star was in exhibition mode at last Thursday's launch of the JABBFA Novice and Junior Championships at the JOA Headquarters in Kingston. The championships are set for June 28 at the Courtleigh Auditorium in Kingston.
“My goal for 2025 is to go after my pro card,” Johnson told Sportsmax.TV. “It’s not just about winning shows—it’s about understanding why I want this and using that purpose to fuel everything I do.”
Johnson’s journey to this point has already set her apart. In just her first full year of competition, she swept her division at major local events, establishing herself as one of Jamaica’s most promising young athletes in the sport.
“Winning three titles in such a short time showed me what’s possible when you commit, stay disciplined, and stay locked in on your goals,” she said.
But Johnson isn’t resting on past success. She insists that every show is a reset—a new chance to outdo herself.

“Every single show is about showing up better than before,” she explained. “Whatever physique I brought last time, I have to improve it. Someone out there is working twice as hard to beat me, and I keep that in mind every single day.”
Now a full-time fitness and nutrition coach, Johnson recently walked away from her corporate job to dedicate herself completely to her passion. It was a bold decision, but one she believes was necessary to reach the next level.
“Last year I was juggling work, school, and training. I could’ve kept doing it, but if I really want to go where I believe I can, I knew I had to fully commit,” she said. “Fitness is where I’ve found my purpose—it’s how I want to create change.”
Her impact now extends beyond the stage, helping others transform their lives physically and mentally.
“The gym is more than a place to build muscle—it’s a place of mental awakening. I’ve seen how it changes people’s lives, including my own. That’s why I’ve chosen to stay in this space.”
As she prepares for the season ahead, Johnson isn’t focused on titles or defending her previous success. Her sights are set firmly on growth, evolution, and eventually, earning that coveted pro card.
“I don’t walk around saying I’m a champion. I treat every show like I’m starting from scratch,” she said. “I know there’s a girl out there working her ass off to beat me—and I respect that. That’s why I never drop the ball.”
For Bryana Johnson, 2025 isn’t just about collecting trophies—it’s about transformation, legacy, and proving that the dream of going pro is within reach.
