Jamaica’s team Chadwick Campbell won the silver medal in the T13 100m at the 2019 Para Pan American Games in Lima, Peru on Monday.

Campbell crossed the finish line medallist in 11.66 seconds in the race win by Brazilian Arnaldo DaSilva. Honduras’ Elgin Castellanos took the bronze.

"You win some and you are humble in victory, and you lose some but you are never defeated. You win a medal and celebrate and you come out without a medal, but you are still a winner. This is what the Paralympic spirit teaches you - humility and never say die. I am celebrating," he said afterwards.

Campbell, who is trained by Fitz Coleman now turns his attention to the  World Para Athletics Championships where he hopes to deliver a ‘blockbuster’ performance in November.

On Sunday, Shane Hudson finished fourth in the men's T46-47 400m.
A seasoned campaigner on the international stage with an array of medals from these regional Games and the Para World Athletics Championships, Hudson posted 51.01 in the heats.

He was sixth in the final in 5.17 but was elevated to fourth following two disqualifications.
