Kristen McGregor tipped to 'mash up' November World Champs in Spain

By August 28, 2019

President of the Jamaica Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Association Audrey Allwood has revealed that Kristen McGregor Jamaica’s 2018 Body Fitness Queen will not be defending her title at the 2019 JABFA National Senior Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships set for the Courtleigh Hotel in Kingston on September 7.

McGregor will instead focus on competing at the IFBB Elite Pro World Professional Championships in Tarragona, Spain, in November. She has chosen to forego the national senior championships with the expectation of making a big first impression in Spain.

McGregor, who won her pro debut on July 28 at the IFBB Diamond Cup in St. Maarten, trains at Allwood’s FitFarm Gym.

“I think Kristen is going to do very well. I am very proud of her going off to these World Championships which is a big thing for us and I think she is really going to mash up the place,” Allwood told Sportsmax.TV at the launch of the 2019 National Senior Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships at the Knutsford Court Hotel on Tuesday.

“Her physique is just unbelievable. She is totally a balanced athlete. She has good upper body, her back, shoulders. Yes, she is working on her calves. Henry Graham is working with her on her calves but otherwise, she is there."

McGregor will be accompanied by Avernell Modest and Glenroy Morrison, will also be competing in Spain in November.

Morrison, however, will compete at the national senior championships on September 7.
