British Virgin Islands hurdler Kyron McMaster has expressed satisfaction with a winning end to the IAAF Diamond League meet following a narrow triumph in Zurich on Thursday.

McMaster took top spot and the title by the narrowest of margins. It took a photo-finish to decide the race, which went to the line with Norwegian Karsten Warholm.

McMaster won in 48.08, with Warholm second in 48.10.  Third place went to Turkish Yasmani Copello who finished in 48.73.  Having competed in seven races the win was the hurdler’s fourth win of the season.

“I have been growing a lot.  I really enjoyed every experience I have been through. I feel good about the race,” McMaster told BVInews.

“I am very tired of course. It went exactly how I wanted. I got a good rhythm,” he added.  McMaster is coming off record runs at both the Central American and Caribbean Games and the NACAC Senior Championships, which he added to a first place finish at the Commonwealth Games this year.
