Soufriere held off a late push from South Castries to secure a 2-1 victory on Saturday night in St Lucia Semi-Pro League action at the Mindoo Phillip Park.

Wynauds Bradley Joseph gave Soufriere the lead with a well-timed strike in first-half stoppage time (45+1'), and three minutes into the second half, Jahzani Jordan Henry extended the advantage with a clinical finish in the 48th minute. South Castries responded with a goal from Rashard Eugene in the 87th minute, but the comeback effort fell short as Soufriere held firm to claim all three points.

In Super League play, Central Castries produced a commanding first-half performance to defeat Vieux-Fort South 2-0. Jamar Wilfred opened the scoring in the 20th minute, before Macalan John added a second just five minutes later in the 25th to seal the result.

The wins for Soufriere and Central Castries keep both teams firmly in the hunt as the competition heats up across the island.
