The St Kitts and Nevis Football Association (SKNFA), in partnership with Hand In Hand Security Services, successfully hosted a Security Workshop on Saturday, February 15, at the SWMC Conference Room. The workshop, aimed at improving match-day security and enhancing spectator experience, marked the second consecutive year of such training, demonstrating the SKNFA's commitment to raising safety standards at football venues across the Federation.

Mark Handley, Head of Hand In Hand Security Services, highlighted the workshop's key objectives, emphasizing the importance of effective interaction with spectators, thorough security checks, and the prevention of prohibited items entering football venues.

“This workshop will help us deal and interact with persons who come to the football games, ensuring that proper searching techniques are applied to prevent harmful items from entering the football complex,” Handley explained.

The training provided security personnel with the necessary skills to handle large crowds, enforce stadium regulations, and implement customer service best practices, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable environment for football fans.

The SKNFA Security Workshop forms part of the Association's broader strategy to continuously improve security protocols at all football events.

“A higher standard of customer service and a higher standard of security at the football games going forward—that is what we are working towards,” Handley added. “This workshop will put us in that position and help us provide better service to the SKNFA.”

By equipping security personnel with advanced training and practical knowledge, the SKNFA ensures that fans, players, and officials can enjoy matches with peace of mind.

With the 2025 football season underway, attendees of SKNFA competitions can expect improved security operations, enhanced crowd control measures, and a greater focus on customer service from security personnel.
