Cibao FC and O&M FC of the Dominican Republic, SV Robinhood of Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago’s Defence Force have officially secured their spots in the 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup, becoming the first four clubs confirmed for the tournament.

Concacaf made the announcement on Thursday, as they also confirmed the competition’s key dates and structure for what will be the third edition of the region’s premier club tournament. Scheduled to run from August to December 2025, the Caribbean Cup will once again serve as a pathway to the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.

The tournament will feature 10 of the Caribbean’s top club teams, including league champions and top finishers from Concacaf Member Associations and the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Club Shield. Six additional teams will round out the field, including the champion and runner-up of the 2025 CFU Club Shield, Haiti’s 2025 National Special de D1 champion, the top two finishers from the 2024-25 Jamaica Premier League, and the second-placed team from the 2024-25 Trinidad and Tobago Premier Football League.

Concacaf will conduct the official draw for the 2025 Caribbean Cup on June 3, at its headquarters in Miami, Florida. The draw will use a single-blind system with five pots to determine the two five-team groups for the tournament’s opening round.

The Caribbean Cup will begin with a Group Stage, where each team plays four matches (two home, two away) across five weeks. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Knockout Stage.

From there, the top three finishers—both finalists and the third-place team—will qualify for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, with the Caribbean Cup champion receiving an automatic bye to the Round of 16.
