Under-20 Reggae Girlz captain Jaileah McPherson has a new home where she will compete on the NCAA circuit next season.
The 18-year-old defender has committed to the Florida Atlantic University (FIU) for her sophomore season after competing for the University of Memphis as a freshman.
“Super Grateful for all the help I’ve received from Jamaica, previous coaches and trainers and my family. Can’t wait to continue my journey at FIU,” McPherson said in a statement on Tuesday.
The Ontario-born McPherson has captained the Under-20 Reggae Girlz at the 2024 Jewels of the Caribbean Under-20 tournament and Concacaf Under-20 Women’s Championship qualifiers earlier this year and earned her maiden senior call-up for a pair of friendlies against Mexico in April.
