The 2025 Carifta Aquatic Championships exploded to life as records tumbled, rivalries flared, and rising stars threw down the gauntlet on a fiercely competitive opening day of action at the National Aquatic Centre in Couva on Saturday.
The Bahamas continued to reign supreme in Caribbean youth swimming, as they claimed a seventh consecutive Carifta Swimming Championships title and their ninth in the past 10 editions, as the curtain came down on the 38th staging of the event at the National Aquatics Centre on Tuesday.
Trinidad and Tobago’s head coach, Anil Roberts, has set a bold target for his 36-member team, which is to reclaim the title and bring the crown back to the twin-island republic at the upcoming 38th Carifta Aquatics Championships.
