Jamaica’s Women’s 4x100m quartet booked their spot at the World Championships in Tokyo later this year with a second-placed finish in their heat on day one of the World Relays in Guangzhou on Saturday.
The team of Tina Clayton, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Tia Clayton and Shericka Jackson combined to produced a season’s best 42.51 to finish second in heat two and advance to Sunday’s final and book their spot in Tokyo.
Spain took top spot in that heat with an excellent national record 42.18.
