Barbados has named a four-person team for the 2025 World Indoor Championships set for March 21-23 in Nanjing, China.
Kishawna Niles was the lone girl in the quartet announced by the Athletics Association of Barbados on Friday alongside Julian Forde, Nikkolia Kennedy and Rasheeme Griffith.
Niles and Forde will compete in the women’s and men’s 60m, respectively. Griffith will compete in the 400m while Kennedy will take part in the 60m hurdles.
Niles has already established a new personal best of 7.12 in the 60m this season. The 19-year-old took 100m bronze at the World Under-20 Championships last year.
The 23-year-old Forde, a junior at Louisiana Tech University, has a season’s best of 6.64.
Griffith, 24, is the country’s national record holder and a two-time national champion in the 400m.
Kennedy, a 20-year-old sophomore at Iowa Western Community College, has a season’s and personal best of 7.82 in the 60m hurdles.
