Kadrian Goldson and Krystal Sloley are among the standout athletes selected to represent Jamaica at the inaugural Barbados Grand Prix, set for Saturday, July 5, at the Usain Bolt Stadium in Bridgetown.
The sprint pair headline Jamaica’s charge in the 4x100m relays, as part of a strong 12-member squad selected by the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) for the regional meet. Sloley will team up with Jodean Williams, Jonielle Smith, and Serena Cole in the women’s 4x100m, while Goldson will join Adrian Kerr, Bouwahgie Nkrumie, and Odain McPherson in the men’s equivalent.
Jamaica will also contest the 4x400m mixed relay, with Roneisha McGregor, Shanakaye Anderson, Jeremy Bembridge, and Bovel McPherson selected to form the quartet.
The team, which departed the island on Wednesday, is led by manager Brian Smith, with Paul Francis serving as head coach. He is assisted by Lamar Richards, while Jowayne Johnson has been named massage therapist.
