Brian Lara, widely regarded as one of the greatest batters in Test cricket history, is set to captain the West Indies Masters in the International Masters League (IML), which begins on February 22 in India. The tournament, featuring six teams composed of retired cricketing legends, will be played across three cities—Navi Mumbai, Rajkot, and Raipur—with the final scheduled for March 16.

Regional Football

The St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) took a significant step toward enhancing club operations and fostering professional growth with the launch of its first Club Development Workshop on Saturday, February 15 at Football House. This inaugural session marked the beginning of a series of educational initiatives designed to equip SKNFA member clubs with the necessary tools for sustainable development and compliance with regional regulations.

CONCACAF

The St. Kitts and Nevis National U-20 Women's departed the Federation on the weekend to Nicaragua where they will be participating in the Concacaf U-20 Qualifiers. Coach of the team Earl Jones, said he is excited about this team, as it is a mixture of U-20 players and U-17 players, the latter who recently delivered exceptional performances in the Concacaf U-17 qualifiers.

Regional Football

The St Kitts and Nevis Football Association (SKNFA), in partnership with Hand In Hand Security Services, successfully hosted a Security Workshop on Saturday, February 15, at the SWMC Conference Room. The workshop, aimed at improving match-day security and enhancing spectator experience, marked the second consecutive year of such training, demonstrating the SKNFA's commitment to raising safety standards at football venues across the Federation.

Athletics

St. Jago High and Edwin Allen High were the respective Boys and Girls leaders as action ended on day one of the 2025 Central Athletics Championships at the GC Foster College in St. Catherine, Jamaica. St. Jago lead the Boys standings with 131 points at the completion of 18 out of 40 events. 15 points behind them in second are Edwin Allen while Clarendon College are third with 71. On the Girls side, Edwin Allen have a comfortable lead with 163 points after 18 of 45 events. 38 points adrift of the Clarendon-based school are Holmwood Technical while Hydel High are third with 105 points.

West Indies Championship

Jason Holder has made himself available to represent Barbados Pride in the upcoming matches in the West Indies Championship, the regional four-day first-class cricket competition. The world-rated allrounder said he is looking forward to the next round of matches on March 5-8 when the Bajans face Combined Campuses and Colleges at Kensington Oval. He missed the opening three rounds due to commitments on the global T20 circuit in the United Arab Emirates and Bangladesh. 

CONCACAF Gold Cup
The Barbados Football Association (BFA) is happy to step in and host Guyana’s crucial CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifier in the upcoming round of matches. In the recent release of fixtures, CONCACAF announced that Guyana will face Guatemala on Friday March 21 at 9pm at the BFA's Technical Centre at Wildey, Barbados. The return leg will be at the Estadio Cementos Progreso in Guatemala City on Tuesday, March 25.
